UiPath, a major player in the Robotic Process Automation market, has mobilized in the fight against the Coronavirus in order to help companies in the face of this huge economic and health crisis. To do this, UiPath offers automation tools that will improve the daily lives of staff in three business sectors. Explanations.
For medical personnel
The crisis caused by Covid-19 has affected all sectors. However, as stalled businesses file for bankruptcy or apply for a prohibited bank loan to maintain their business, other sectors are overloaded with work. This is, for example, the case for the entire medical sector.
For starters, these new technologies can be of great use to the medical sector. Indeed, in Ireland, the Dublin hospital has automated the results of screening tests which can thus be recorded in several systems.
This is very time-consuming administrative work that monopolized 50% of the nurses' working time. With this automatic result entry process, they have more time to care for patients.
The Dublin hospital has therefore approached the UiPath company to use their automation solutions. This has greatly reduced the workload of the nursing staff. Indeed, a robot for each nurse saves 3 hours per day. The medical team can thus concentrate solely on medicine.
For aircrew
Subsequently, the contribution of new technologies also makes it possible to optimize the efficiency of the contact centers of the airlines which are strongly affected by the crisis.
Indeed, following the pandemic and containment measures, many people have been forced to cancel their travel plans. Airlines are therefore hit by a very large number of calls for cancellation requests. These requests, which must be processed quickly, often do not receive an answer because the staff is more than overwhelmed.
To solve this problem, UiPath offers assisted robots that will allow air personnel to process all their data faster. Also, they will extract their information faster in order to make the call triage process faster. This automation will support more calls every day.
For hygiene staff
Finally, new technologies will also optimize the work of surface maintenance personnel. Indeed, thanks to assisted robots, the processing of orders for disinfectants can be much faster. The staff will no longer need to take care of this point and will be able to concentrate only on the disinfection of the premises in which they work.
